Corporate and Industrial Photography in Singapore — From Deep Tunnels to Logistics Fleets
Pixel Bureau is a Singapore-based corporate and industrial photography studio led by Kai Hartmann, a German photographer with more than 20 years of experience. We photograph offices, people, infrastructure sites and logistics operations for international companies, and we work across Asia Pacific — Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Tokyo, Sydney and China.
Industrial photography asks for more than a good eye. It asks for site discipline, safety awareness and the ability to work alongside engineers, project managers and video crews without slowing anyone down. Two recent projects show what that looks like in practice.
Inside one of Singapore's most important infrastructure projects: Tuas Water Reclamation Plant

The Tuas Water Reclamation Plant is the centrepiece of Phase 2 of Singapore's Deep Tunnel Sewerage System (DTSS), run by PUB, Singapore's national water agency. Phase 2 adds roughly 98 km of new underground conveyance — around 35 km of deep tunnels, 35 to 55 metres below ground, plus about 63 km of link sewers. Together with Phase 1, the DTSS forms a 206 km network that carries used water by gravity to three central plants in Changi, Kranji and Tuas.
Why it matters: used water collected by the system is treated and recycled into NEWater, a key pillar of Singapore's long-term water security. PUB plans to commission the Tuas plant and the wider Phase 2 network in phases from 2027.
We were on site together with the client and a video team. The work was done under strict confidentiality, so we can't name the client or publish any of the images — what you see here are behind-the-scenes photos of myself only.
What this kind of assignment requires:
Full PPE and site compliance — hard hat, safety boots, high-visibility vest and eye protection, plus site induction and escorts
Strict confidentiality — no logos, no client identification, controlled image handling
Coordination with video — sharing access windows, positions and lighting with the film crew so both teams get what they need in limited time
Working around live construction — shooting efficiently without interrupting workers or schedules
Gebrüder Weiss: three days on the road and in the office in Singapore

Gebrüder Weiss is one of the world's oldest transport and logistics companies, with roots going back more than 500 years to an Alpine courier service. Headquartered in Austria and still family-owned, it now operates a global network that includes Singapore.
Pixel Bureau photographed a three-day production across Singapore, again working side by side with a video team. The brief covered:
Fleet photography on the road — the branded trucks in motion and in real traffic, not just parked in a yard
Office and team photography — people at work, collaboration and leadership portraits
A shared shot list with video — so the brand gets matching stills and motion from the same days

Why work with a combined photo and video setup
Most of our industrial and corporate projects now run alongside a video crew. Done well, it saves the client money and site time. Done badly, two teams get in each other's way. We plan positions, timing and lighting with the video team from the start, so access is used once and both outputs carry the same look.
