Asia Pacific On Assignment, Part Two: Corporate, Automotive and Book Photography Across Asia and Europe (Q2–Q3 2026)

Since our last "On Assignment" update in April, Pixel Bureau's calendar has stayed full — corporate and conference photography across Asia Pacific, automotive work for long-standing clients, and a second continent's worth of production for the next My First 911 book. Here's where the last few months took us.

Corporate Event and Conference Photography in Asia Pacific

Conference photography remains the backbone of the Pixel Bureau calendar, and this stretch was no exception. Shanghai hosted a major conference shoot for long-standing partner JP Morgan, adding to a client relationship that continues alongside regular work for Google, Oracle, HSBC, Bank of America and other financial and corporate clients across the region. Closer to home, Singapore delivered a steady run of corporate event photography assignments — proof that the local Singapore market is as active as the regional one.

As a Singapore-based commercial and corporate event photographer working across Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and beyond, the throughline is the same one we talked about in part one: knowing a market — its venues, its light, its pace — makes for better coverage than flying in cold.

Automotive Photography: Kuala Lumpur - Sepang and Beyond

Automotive work took us to the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia for a track-based shoot — a reminder that automotive photography in Asia Pacific means everything from studio-controlled car photography to full motorsport and circuit environments. It's a continuation of the same automotive and Porsche photography practice that's run through Pixel Bureau and kai-hartmann.net for over fifteen years.

My First 911, Volume Two: The Book Tour and the Next Chapter

My First 911 — our 320-page bilingual coffee table book documenting first-time Porsche 911 owners across cities, countries, and continents — kept traveling this quarter. Two further book launch events were held in Shanghai, and Hong Kong hosted a launch with Jebsen Motors, adding to earlier events with Porsche Singapore and Porsche Asia-Pacific.

At the same time, production began in earnest on Volume Two. Summer wasn't just a break — it was a shooting trip, documenting first-time 911 owners across Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Germany, with a further stop in Japan and Taipei. Between the launch tour for Volume One and the shoot for Volume Two, the My First 911 project now spans an even wider map of owners, cities, and Porsche communities than when it started.

New This Year: Fine Art Prints

Behind the scenes, Pixel Bureau also opened a fine art print shop, bringing a curated selection of automotive and Porsche photography — including material from the My First 911 archive — to print for the first time, produced in partnership with the best labs.

Widening the Radius

Between Shanghai, Sepang, Singapore, Taipei, four countries in Europe, Sydney, Hong Kong, and repeat trips to Tokyo, this quarter pushed Pixel Bureau's reach further than any stretch since the studio opened. The base stays Singapore. Everything else keeps growing.
