Last week marked a milestone I've been working toward for years. My First 911 had its official book launch in Singapore, hosted by Porsche Singapore and Porsche Asia Pacific — and it was an evening I'll remember for a long time.
For those who don't know the project: My First 911 is a 320-page bilingual photography book published by Delius Klasing, documenting the stories of 36 Porsche 911 first-time owners across 18 cities and four continents. Every portrait, every location, every detail was shot on assignment as a personal passion project — years of travel, planning, and photography distilled into a single volume.

A Long Relationship with Porsche
To have Porsche host the launch felt entirely right. My work with Porsche spans well over a decade, across China and Asia Pacific — from automotive photography campaigns to the Ice Experience events in northern China and the "30 Jahre Thailand – Dreams in Colours" project. The 911 has been a constant thread through much of my career as an automotive photographer, so having Porsche Singapore and Porsche Asia Pacific open their doors for this moment was a genuine honor.

The Evening
The launch brought together Porsche enthusiasts, photographers, and friends in Singapore for an evening that was equal parts celebration and book signing. It was particularly meaningful to share the evening with Wayne Lau, who designed the book — his work is on every page, and having him there made the night complete.
To Yannick Ott, Janine Most, and Brendan Mock — thank you. Your support in making this evening happen made a real difference. And to everyone who came, who picked up a copy, who stayed to talk — genuinely, thank you.

About the Book
My First 911 was shot across four continents over several years, combining documentary-style automotive photography with intimate portrait work. The book is bilingual in English and German, published by Delius Klasing, and won a Gold award at the Tokyo International Foto Awards. It is a record of what the Porsche 911 means to the people who own one — told through photography, and through their words.

As a Singapore- & Asia Pacific based automotive and corporate photographer with over 15 years of experience across Asia Pacific, projects like this sit at the heart of what I do. Commercial work funds the craft. Personal work pushes it forward.
A huge thank you to Delius Klasing for making this book a reality — and to Porsche, for everything.
